Risoil won the tender for concession of property of the SE ‘Kherson Commercial Sea Port’

Risoil-Kherson LLC won the tender for concession of property assets of the State Enterprise ‘Kherson Commercial Sea Port’ (KCSP). It was reported to Ports of Ukraine by a source at the MIU.

Risoil-Kherson LLC is a consortium of Petrol Oil and Chemicals LLC (Georgian Industrial Group) and Risoil S.A. (Switzerland). A share of the Georgian group is 60%, a share of the Swiss company - 40%.

As reported previously, in December 2019 four participants submitted applications and were prequalified for participation in the tender for concession of property assets of the State Enterprise ‘Kherson Commercial Sea Port’ (KCSP). The participants include Busserk Liman Isletme Loj (Turkey), LLC ‘Special Company Kherson Sea Port’, LLC ‘Risoil-Kherson’ and LLC ‘Ukrmorport’.

It will be recalled that the Ministry of Infrastructure announced tenders for concession of property assets of the SE ‘Stevedoring Company (SC) ‘Olvia’’ and the SE ‘KCSP’ as well as the corresponding property of the SE ‘Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration’ on September 12, 2019.

SE ‘SC ‘Olvia” and SE ‘KCSP’ are the sites for implementation of pilot concession projects in the port industry. Pilot projects were approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure on June 23, 2016. Feasibility studies for pilot projects were developed by a consortium of international consultants formed by the EBRD and the IFC. While elaborating feasibility study, a systematic analysis of the market, financial, technical, environmental and legal due diligences were carried out.
