In Pivdenny port three capsize ships were simultaneously loaded with iron ore

On Tuesday, in Pivdenny sea port the iron ore concentrate (IOC) was loaded simultaneously onto three Capesize vessels. It was reported by press service of the administration of Pivdenny sea port.
In particular, at berth No.5 of the SE ‘Sea Trade Port (STP) ‘Pivdenny’’ the Madeira vessel (flag - Malta) took 175 thousand tons of IOC on board.
On berths No.18 and No.19 of LLC ‘TIS’, Mineral Destelbergen watercraft (flag - Belgium) and Contamines watercraft (flag - Marshall Islands) were simultaneously handled. The first vessel was loaded with120 thousand tons of IOC, the second vessel – with 117 thousand tons with further loading of 50 thousand tons at berth No.5.
‘The growth of cargo turnover will reach almost half a million tons’, it was informed.
Pivdenny sea port is located on the shores of Adzhalyk Estuary on the northwest coast of the Black Sea. The number of cargo berths is 19; the length of cargo quayage is 4.946 kilometres. Since 21June 2014 a draft of 18.5 meters has been approved at the port. A harbour is the deepest one in the Ukrainian Black Sea
According to the USPA registry, LLC ‘Transinvestservice’, SE ‘STP ‘Pivdenny’’, LLC ‘Delta Wilmar CIS’, PJSC ‘Odessa Port Plant’, PJSC ‘Ukrtransnafta’, LLC ‘Borivazh’, SE ‘Seaside-Ukraine’, LLC ‘Risoil-South’ and other port operators carry out their activity at the port.
In 2018 compared to 2017, Pivdenny sea port increased its cargo turnover by 1.9% amounting up to 42.702 million tons. The weight density of port in terms of cargo turnover of the seaports in Ukraine corresponded to the level of 2017 – 31.6%.
